Volvo Cars Poole Triumphs with Prestigious Service Department Awards
Volvo Cars Poole is thrilled to announce its recent success, having won two esteemed awards in the service department category. Congratulations to our exceptional Aftersales Manager, Leanne, and our highly skilled Vehicle Technician, Richard, for their outstanding achievements. These accolades underscore our commitment to excellence and our dedication to delivering unparalleled service to our valued customers.
The awards received include the "Most Volvo Technical Training Completed by a Technician" and the "Most Technicians as a Percentage to be Accredited to Core Level within a Volvo Service Department" in the Southern Region. These honours highlight our team's relentless pursuit of knowledge and excellence, ensuring that our customers receive the highest standard of service.
In recognition of their remarkable accomplishments, Richard and Lewis (representing Leanne) were invited to Gothenburg, Sweden. This memorable trip included a visit to the new World of Volvo and participation in the renowned Volvo Blue Train Factory Tour.
A Memorable Journey to the Heart of Volvo
The journey to Gothenburg, often referred to as the city of Volvo, provided Richard and Lewis with an exclusive glimpse into the world of Volvo. The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the factory tour, offering a rare opportunity to witness the complete build process of Volvo cars, from the initial stages to the final product rolling off the production line.
Reflecting on the experience, Richard and Lewis agreed, "It was incredible to see the cars being built from start to finish. Watching the first bits of the chassis being pressed together and then seeing someone drive the finished car off the production line was truly amazing. The sheer size of the factory and the level of detail in each step of the process were fascinating."
During the tour, they observed various stages of production, including the assembly of the interior and the installation of the doors, culminating in the creation of a fully finished vehicle. "Seeing the entire production process has significantly enhanced our product knowledge. We now have a deeper understanding of how everything fits together, which will be invaluable in our work."
In addition to the factory tour, the trip included a visit to the World of Volvo, a museum showcasing the rich history of Volvo. Richard and Lewis also enjoyed a city tour, gaining insights into Gothenburg's history and its deep connection to Volvo. "The whole city is like a tribute to Volvo. From the moment you arrive at the airport, you see Volvos everywhere and signs celebrating the brand”.
