Energy boost for Lighthouse from Volvo Cars Poole deal
Lighthouse Poole announced Volvo Cars Poole as its Official Energy Partner in a move that enables the arts centre to complete the replacement of its Theatre lights with new energy efficient lighting.
"Having worked with Volvo Cars Poole last year, we are excited to recharge the partnership and power up this ambitious plan to install energy efficient lighting in our Theatre," says Lucy Funnell, Lighthouse Corporate Development Executive.
"Sustainability is central to everything we do at Lighthouse and, as energy costs soar, the traditional tungsten lighting in our Theatre is being phased out in favour of LED lighting. Not only does this help future-proof Lighthouse, it reduces energy usage, cuts costs and saves time replacing blown lamps.
"Lighthouse exists to deliver a wide range of high quality shows and world class cultural experiences to our community and this new partnership with Volvo Cars Poole helps us keep the lights burning brightly... and efficiently!"
Volvo Cars is deeply committed to sustainability and has been a leader in this area since the 1940s. Volvo Cars Poole supports local customers in making the transition to more sustainable mobility, providing full guidance on the benefits of the electric and hybrid models which are available across the range.
This level of service doesn’t end there though; Volvo Cars Poole’s trained technicians operate in a state-of-the-art workshop, using only genuine parts, ensuring that any Volvo continues to perform at its best for many years to come.
Leanne Ledger, Head of Business, said: “As a locally owned business, it’s a pleasure to support Lighthouse Poole as Official Energy Partner. Our shared values of sustainability and supporting the local community make this a perfect partnership and I look forward to working together.”
